Intensive preparations for the Asian Universities Bodybuilding Championship

The University of Sharjah organized a technical and administrative workshop as part of the field preparations for the 2023 Asian Cup for Universities Physical Fitness to be held from 16 to 21 August 2023 at the first sports meet for all male and female university and college players. Candidates representing the country and their universities reached 13 universities such as Gulf Medical University, Ajman University of Science and Technology, American University of Sharjah, Emirates University, Sheikh Zayed University, Manipal Academy for Higher Education. Dubai, Higher Colleges of Technology, Khalifa University, Middlesex University – Dubai, New York University – Abu Dhabi, Rochester Institute of Technology – Dubai, Heriot Watt University, University of Birmingham – Dubai, apart from the university, the host of the event is University of Sharjah.
Physical tests related to competition requirements including legs, chest and back lifts, technical cues, pointers and instructions were conducted in the presence of Technical and Administrative Prof. Dr. The United Arab Emirates Bodybuilding Federation, headed by Faisal Al Jabi, Chairman of the Body Strength Committee, and an expert panel represented by UAE National Team Coach Omar Al Taheri and Ibrahim Abdullah, Chairman of the Referees Committee, in addition to the coaches and supervisors of the participating university teams, Abdul Majeed Yasbek, the Federation’s Technical Secretary.
At the end, all notes are written down and explained to the participants by their coaches to focus on weaknesses, hoping to address them during the next training sessions.
