Tom Cruise’s bags worth thousands of euros were stolen in the UK, where the American star is filming the seventh installment of “Mission: Impossible”, according to The Sun.
The luggage was inside his bodyguard’s car. The tabloid reports that Monday / Tuesday night he was robbed in front of a hotel in Birmingham where he was staying.
A West Midlands Police spokesman said: “Early Tuesday morning, August 24, we received a report that a BMW X7 had been stolen from Church Street in Birmingham without confirming the identity of the owner of the vehicle.
The car was found shortly afterwards, according to a police spokesman, who explained that “the investigation is still ongoing”, especially based on “surveillance camera recordings of the area where the car was parked”. However, according to a source in The Sun newspaper, “everything inside the car is gone”, referring to the 59-year-old actor’s “some luggage and belongings”.
The newspaper revealed that the signal sent from the unconnected key in this luxury car two minutes away from the police station was destroyed and recreated by the thieves.
And this trick, which rises to the filters of scenes from the films “The Sun” and “Mission Impossible”, allowed the mob to escape in the car in front of security guards’ eyes. “
Tom Cruise, best known for doing stunts in most of his films, has caused a stir in the Midlands (North England) this week.
He filmed several scenes from episode VII of the “Mission Impossible” series, in which he plays an intelligence agent.
