I don’t want to criticize Vinicius

Date:

Spain | La Liga

La Liga president Javier Tebas confirmed on Thursday that he did not intend to “criticize” Vinicius during his controversial tweet and noted that he considers him “an important addition to the club and La Liga”.

“I don’t want to criticize Vinicius. My frustration led to my mistake,” Debas said at a press conference.

And Debas announced that he had not spoken to the Real Madrid striker, but that he was willing to do so, saying, “I’m sorry if I hurt you, but I don’t want to accuse you.” Let me explain to him again that I am just as frustrated as you are.”

Debas had tweeted a dig at the Brazilian, saying “before insulting and insulting the league, things need to be looked at properly”, referring to the powers of the various sporting authorities empowered to impose fines against racism.

The president of the confederation, Vinicius, claimed that the Spanish Confederation had the power to impose economic sanctions, while demanding that the Liga have power in this regard.

In this regard, he explained, “We want powers, because with these powers we are confident that we will solve this problem within a few months.

Praising the Brazilian winger, Debas said, “Vinicius is a different player, extraordinary. I am sure he will win the Ballon d’Or one day.”

He concluded, “I think he is an important addition to his club and to La Liga.”
