Your password is the key to Windows 11 as it protects your important files and information. However, sometimes you may want to delete your password. Log in to Windows.
One of these cases is when you share a computer with someone, and here’s how to remove the login password in Windows 11.
If you set up your Windows 11 PC with a local (offline) account, you can follow the steps on how to remove the login password. These steps will not work with a Microsoft account for security reasons.
Step 1: Select the Start menu icon and select the Settings gear icon.
Step 2: In the Settings app, choose Accounts in the sidebar and choose Sign-in options.
Step 3: Under Login Methods, select a password.
Step 4: Select Change button under Password Type.
Step 5: Enter your current password and select Next.
Step 6: Leave everything blank and select Finish.
Step 7: Close the Settings app and your login password will now be removed.
Now that your password is removed, you don’t need to enter it at the Windows 11 login screen. You should log in automatically when your computer starts up, or if you share your computer, you should. Click your profile icon to login.
Again, logging into Windows 11 without a password is not secure and other people can access your files. If your account has administrator privileges, ill-intentioned people can also use your account to access other people’s files. Better to use something stronger. password.
