A study published in the journal American Heart Associationindicates that skipping meals is associated with increased body weight, higher blood pressure, insulin resistance, and higher fasting cholesterol concentrations.

The best way to have a balanced breakfast is to combine good complex carbohydrates like oats, wheat, besan, ragi and wheat flour with high-quality proteins like eggs, paneer, milk or curd.
