Hala Badri, Director General of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), visited the Al Safa Art and Design Library on Wednesday as part of its efforts to support creativity and creative skills. Programs and activities offered by the Library in Life Schools and Summer Camp Program allow it to be a platform to develop life skills and enhance the creative talents of community members of all sections and age groups.
During his visit, Badri was briefed on the educational and recreational environment offered by the library to youth and adolescents participating in the activities and activities of the “Schools of Life” program implemented in various workshops; I found a section of the “Arabic Palmistry” workshop dedicated to that day.
Dubai Culture is launching the first phase of the “Schools of Life” project at Al Tawar, Al Manqool and Al Safa Libraries for Art and Design starting June 1, 2022 and continuing until the end of this year. The program aims to build the cultural, creative and life skills of the youth, adults and committed people, citizens and residents of Dubai.
Badri was briefed on some of the innovative creations and crafts enjoyed by campers of various ages during a “Mirror Carpet” workshop offered by the library as part of the inaugural summer camp earlier this month. The 28th expressed its appreciation for the creativity of the participants, which resulted in several glass carpets with unique designs and color combinations that they started working on over the past two days.
Badri lauded the efforts of the workshop supervisors, their high professionalism and their ability to handle the different age groups acquired through the workshops. He also expressed his happiness at the excellent attendance witnessed by the library activities.
