German intelligence official warns of rising extremism of corona deniers | DW Arabic News | Breaking News and Perspectives from Around the World | DW

Stephen Kramer, head of the Constitutional Security Service (Intelligence) in Thuringia, Germany, has warned of a growing tough trend among corona deniers.

Before new protests were planned for the so-called “alternative thinking” movement in Leipzig on Saturday (November 6, 2021), Kramer told the editorial network “Deutschland” that “fourth wave factors are represented”. Discussion of epidemiology and booster dose and tightening of corona measures such as expanding the scope of the 2G rule may lead to encouraging this trend.

The “2G” rule restricts access to closed spaces, such as theaters and restaurants, only to those who have been vaccinated against coronavirus and those who have survived Covit-19.

Kramer explained that the growing extremism among members of the movement could be seen not only in demonstrations but also in comments on the Internet. “And it has become an expression of everyday life at that time.

Kramer expressed his hope that the fourth wave of the epidemic, the lack of communication with the population and the contradictions of politicians’ positions regarding booster vaccine levels had led to the realization that this spectrum was strengthening its position and increasing the level of fermentation inside. It.

A movement calling itself the “Leipzig Movement” is reportedly set to protest today against Corona’s actions in the city of Saxony. The movement initially announced that 3,000 people would take part in the demonstration, but due to the development of epidemics in the state, the authorities reduced the number allowed to 1,000.

Many protests are expected. And the police were preparing to mobilize in large numbers.

It should be noted that a year ago the city of Leipzig saw a demonstration of the “alternative thinking” movement, in which more than 20,000 people participated.
