White House spokesman Jen Psaki said on Friday that “without our European allies and partners, European security cannot be negotiated.”
Psaki said, “Two proposals made by Moscow on Friday were explained to the US administration, with the aim of curbing US and NATO military influence in its vicinity.”
Speaking to reporters on a short flight to South Carolina (southeast) President Joe Biden said: “We have succeeded in negotiating security issues with Russia for decades … there is nothing to stop it, but we, and our European Union, will do it. Integration with partners and associates.
“We will never compromise on the fundamental principles of European security, especially the right of all nations to determine their own destiny and their foreign policy without any external influence,” he added.
The two Russian proposals, known as NATO’s agreement between the United States and Russia on security guarantees and measures to ensure the security of Russia and its member states, prevent any expansion of NATO and prevent the establishment of US military bases. In the former Soviet republics, the State Department announced Russia.
As Americans and Europeans accuse Moscow of preparing for a military offensive against Ukraine, Russia has offered to negotiate with the United States “from Saturday, beginning with two plans to prevent escalating tensions in Europe.”
The United States has for weeks rejected the bilateral talks between Moscow and Washington and insisted on its commitment to work in close consultation with Europeans.
