Hamas announced that its military unit had breached Israeli security lines during the movement’s surprise attack on Israel on Saturday morning.
On Saturday evening, Hamas said in a statement that it carried out a simultaneous coordinated attack on more than 50 bases in the southern part of the Gaza Strip and the Israeli army, leading to the overthrow of the security of the strip.
The movement added that fighting is currently taking place at the Israeli “Raim” base, the headquarters of the Gaza Strip, and that it was fighting in 25 locations as of Saturday evening.
