Today, Saturday, the Ministry of Health and Social Security announced that 2,476 new cases (Covid-19) have been registered, compared to the recovery of 2,974 people, with four deaths reported in the last 24 hours.
In the daily bulletin of (Covid-19) results, the ministry highlighted that 6 million 581 thousand 340 people received the third dose of the antiviral vaccine, while the number of people vaccinated with the second dose increased to 23 million. And 349,126 received the fourth booster dose, compared with 24,862,236 who received the first dose.
The new outbreak of HIV infection has raised the total number of confirmed cases in the Kingdom to 1,240,847 since the first case was reported on March 2, 2020, while the total number of fully recovered people has risen to 1,201,944. The recovery rate is 96.9 percent.
The cases registered in the last 24 hours are distributed in the regions of Casablanca-Zetad (870), Rabat-Saleh-Kenitra (573), Fez-Meknes (331), Tangier-Tetouan-Al-Hoceima (165), Marrakesh-. Safi (147), Souz-Massa (125), and Sharq (79), Beni Mellal-Kenifra (59), Dra-Tafilalet (54), Layoun-Saghia El Hamra (37), Guelmim-Oyout Bayer (23), and Dakhla-Oued Eddahab (13).
In terms of deaths, two cases were recorded in the Souss-Massa region and one each in Marrakesh-Safi and Beni Mellal-Khenifra.
The total number of active cases reached 22,752, while 23 critical cases were registered in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of these cases to 149, while the filling rate of designated recovery beds (Covid-19) reached 2.8 percent.
