Talah Al-Jaish’s technical director Tariq Al-Ashry has hinted at a possible move for Saudi Al-Dawoon player Mustafa Fathi.
Mustafa Fathi has been absent from the camp of his Saudi side Al-Dawoon for the pre-season.
Tariq Al-Ashry said in reports to Al-Mehwar TV: “Mustafa Fati for the pioneers of the army? A great opportunity.”
Saudi newspaper, “Al-Riyadiya”, earlier reported that Fathi was unable to leave Cairo airport for the Netherlands, where the team’s camp will be held.
The report indicated that Fathi was prevented from leaving Cairo because of his military service and thus his non-cooperation.
The newspaper pointed out that Saud al-Rashudi, the head of the coalition, is making efforts to resolve the crisis.
The co-op camp starts on July 22nd and ends on August 16th in the Netherlands.
The report touched on the raised issue of Mustafa Fati’s contract with Al-Ahli, but he clarified that this would only happen with the cooperation’s approval.
Mustafa Fathi joined Al-Dawon from Zamalek last January.
Fathi previously played on loan for Al-Dawon in the 2017-2018 season and went on loan to Smouha before his latest departure from Zamalek.
The 28-year-old winger made 12 appearances in the Saudi league last season, scoring 5 goals and assisting two goals.
Al-Taoun finished 12th in the Saudi league last season.
