Britney Spears was overjoyed when a judge suspended her father’s protection and said he was “in nine heavens now”.
The pop singer released a video of herself taking a flying lesson, shortly after the court announced the suspension of her father’s bodyguard Jimmy Spears.
At a court hearing in Los Angeles, Judge Brenda Penny officially suspended the guardian proceedings that the court had approved for the star’s father since 2008.
He left his place in the personal protection of accountant John Chapel, who was selected by the singer’s legal team.
The singer’s lawyer, Matthew Rosangard, said he “hopes and expects” that full security will be lifted at the Nov. 12 hearing.

For his part, Jamie Spears, through his lawyer, described the verdict as “disappointing”.
International artist, Cher and artist Dion and Eric welcomed the court judge’s decision.
Judge Penny ruled that Spears’ care should be handed over to Jabel “immediately” in the interests of the tester.
“This will be the beginning of a new life for you, Britney,” Cher wrote on Twitter, while Warrick released a video in which he expressed his “full support”.
“My heart goes out to Britney Spears,” said senior star Ladoya Jackson. “I feel her pain. How can anyone bear what she endures?”
“Congratulations to Britney Spears !!!” Jackson added.
“Spears’ attorneys have called for a new trial within 30 to 45 days to decide whether to suspend protection altogether,” Rosangard added.
“Private security film”
A recent documentary claims that a private security film used by Jimmy Spears keeps his daughter under constant surveillance.
BBC Sound presenter Pandora Sykes said: “With the guard suspended, Britney’s legal team will be able to see all of this before permanently ending security in November.”
In 2008, a U.S. court appointed Jamie Spears as his daughter’s guardian amid concerns about his mental health.
Earlier this year, Britney made loud allegations that her father had abused her site, which was repeatedly denied by her father and his group.
In a statement released Thursday, Spears’ lawyer said Jamie loved his daughter “unconditionally” and “tried to do what was best for her.”
“These facts disappoint the outcome of yesterday’s hearing and, frankly, cause loss to Britney,” said attorney Vivian Thorin.
“It is wrong for the court to suspend Jimmy and place strangers in his place to manage Britney’s property,” he added.
“Despite the guard’s suspension, Spears will continue to work for her daughter’s interests and will act in good faith toward a positive solution to all issues,” Thorin said.
‘We scream so much’
Britney fans around the world, who supported her through the #FreeBritney hashtag campaign, are delighted with the progress made this week.
A rally was held outside the courthouse on Wednesday, while his fans gathered in London’s Trafalgar Square.
Reporters outside the Syndicate Los Angeles courtroom said supporters “celebrated big” when the news broke.
Musician Benjamin Elgar, who heard the verdict, said it was “good news” that Jamie Spears’ bodyguard had been suspended and had not been stopped “so it’s time for them to inquire further about everything that is going on”.
“Britney will be free, and her fans, the media, and all the documentaries that have come out have put a lot of pressure on the court to expedite the process,” Elgar added.
When the news was announced, one fan said, “We scream so much. Everything we worked on has come true here today.”
