Sharjah, July 12 / WAM / The University of Sharjah discussed opportunities for joint education and research cooperation with representatives of the Research Center for Islamic History, Art and Culture of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in the Republic of Turkey – IRCICA. Organized by the Sharjah Foundation for the History of Science among Arabs and Muslims affiliated with the University of Sharjah His Excellency Professor Dr.
The delegation included Prof. Dr. Mahmud Erol Kilic, Director General of the Center and Prof. Dr. Cengiz Tomar, Head of Research and Publication Department.
Prof. Dr. Hamid Majul Al Nuaimi, Rector of the University of Sharjah confirmed during the meeting that the university is keen to achieve its strategy in line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sharjah, the Deputy Ruler of Sharjah. Developing and supporting the educational process to serve the local community, the university is now considered one of the leading educational institutions in the field of education and scientific research at the state level, and works to develop joint cooperation with various local, regional and international institutions to benefit from professional skills and experiences in the fields of scientific and educational research.
The delegation’s visit included a tour during which the University’s facilities, buildings and its infrastructure features, including the Humanities and Social Sciences Research Institute; He was briefed on the company’s experience in the field of scientific research and the possibilities of collaboration with research groups and its laboratories and the capabilities available therein.
On the occasion of the visit, an introductory meeting was held for the delegation, in which the Faculties of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, Sharia and Islamic Studies participated and many graduate students participated. The delegation was given an introductory overview of the Research Center for Islamic History, Art and Culture – IRCICA and its related activities in the fields of research and publications, Islamic civilization, culture and architectural heritage and traditional arts and crafts. and areas of possible future joint collaboration with the University.
The introductory meeting was attended by Professor Dr. Nader Al-Bisri, Dean of the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, and Professor Dr. Masood Idris, Director of the Sharjah Foundation for the History of Science among Arabs and Muslims. Humanities and Social Research Institute Director Dr. Faker Karaibeh and Assistant Associate Professor Dr. Saleh Al-Luhaibi. Director of Branch Affairs of the university, along with several faculty members and students.
