Muhammad Musaba Al-Shibli, technical director of the boxing team, explained that the selection was based on their results as state champions in their weight divisions and their experiences in the past years to excel at the present.
He said: “These boxers are the best at the moment and they have achieved great results for the country and we hope they will perform at the best levels in the Asian Games.”
The program to prepare the boxers for the Asian Games began after the Arab Games in Algeria, where the players participated in an internal camp before returning to their clubs to prepare for the state open championships held later.
