DUBAI, 3rd November / WAM / Jebel Ali Racecourse begins its first evening of racing in the new season tomorrow, which will witness the hosting of 11 races over 4 months.
Tomorrow, Al Mismar will open its racing season with a program comprising 7 rounds reserved for purebred horses, except for the first half, when it will host the Al Wathba Stallions Cup for owners of private stables for purebred Arabian horses.
Beginner Thoroughbred Arabian horses will kick off the festival with the “Al Wathba Stallions Cup” race for private stable owners sponsored by His Highness Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Racing Festival with the participation of 17 horses aged 4 years and above. 1,400 meters distance, 70 thousand dirham prizes.
The second and third divisions will feature two sprint races over 1,000 meters for novice horses and the “Novice Stakes” race for purebred horses, presented by Al Shafar Investments, with 10 horses participating and prizes of Dh60,000. and the “Novice Stocks” race for two-year-olds sponsored by the Emirates Speed ​​Racing Series with the participation of 6 horses and its prizes of 60 thousand dirhams.
The fourth round of the “Commercial Bank of Dubai Cup” for Thoroughbred Horses was contested by 9 horses aged 3 years and above for a distance of 1,200 meters – Handicap, sponsored by Dubai Commercial Bank, and a total prize. 76 thousand dirhams.
The fifth round of the “Dubai Refreshment Cup” for thoroughbred horses, over a distance of 1,400 meters, will feature 11 new horses and prize money of Dh60,000. He will participate in the “sixth and crucial round of the season opener. Cup for 1,600m” – Handicap, sponsored by Shadwell Stables. 12 horses, total prize money of 84 thousand dirhams.
In the final seventh round, 9 horses compete for the “Mashreq Irrigation Services Cup” for novice horses over 3 years old, over a distance of 1,800 meters, with a total prize money of 60,000 dirhams.
