The athletics team is represented by 4 players competing in 3 races on the first day of competition: the trio of Mohamed Al-Qaida, Ahmed Nawad and Mohamed Uthman and Badr Al-Hosani in the men’s 100m (D34) final. Qualifying for the 1,500m race (T54) and 5,000m finals, men’s and events for the same category will be held on the track at Huang Long Stadium.
The shooting team participates in the qualification and finals of the 10-meter standing rifle competition (SH1), with shooters Obaid Al-Dahmani and Abdullah Saif Al-Ariani, whose competitions are held at the Viang Yanhu Sports Center.
Bow and arrow player Mohammed Al-Shehi competes in the combined individual competition for the W2 division at the Wiang Yanhu Sports Center.
The badminton team continues to compete in men’s singles with the doubles pair of Jamal Al-Badwawi and Mohammed Al-Jaroni, with the former facing Japan’s Osamu Nagashima (WH1) and the latter China’s Chen Shao. (WH2) Division, at the Bingping Sports Center Hall.
The Organizing Committee held a press conference on Sunday in the presence of Majid Al-Osaimi, President of the Asian Paralympic Committee, Zahu Sujing, Vice President of the Asian Paralympic Committee, and Chen Weijun, Secretary General of the Organizing Committee. and official spokesperson.
The conference saw a final number of participants of around 5,200 including 3,000 athletes from 44 countries across 566 races and competitions within 22 sports.

The committee noted that 17 of the 19 sports facilities hosting the event had been specially adapted to the needs of receiving committed individuals.

Majed Al-Osaimi said: “The main goal of hosting this tournament is to raise awareness across Asia and emphasize the right of assertive people to integrate into society, in which sport is an integral part of its activities. Society.”
Al-Ozaimi expressed his delight at hosting this edition, adding: “As Asian and Emirati President of the Asian Paralympic Committee, we are proud of what these Games have achieved in terms of prestige and status as the continent’s biggest sporting event. level and is the second largest in the world after the Olympics.
He added: “Participation in the fourth consecutive edition of the UAE is a continuation of the approach of protecting the achievements of the people, who are determined by the support of wise leadership and their belief in the right of this group to integrate with society.”
He pointed out the achievements of the stalwarts in terms of number of medals and achievements, with all sporting institutions, officials, individuals and media in the Emirates supporting the stalwarts and giving them hope and encouragement to achieve such participation and many more achievements.
