Sharjah, May 23, 2020 / WAM / The activities of the sixth session of “Tibba Al-Hisn Festival for Dual Theatre” organized by the Theater Department of the Department of Culture in Sharjah will begin next Friday evening. The programs will be hosted by the Cultural Center of Tipbah Al-Hisn City, Sheikh Dr. Under the patronage of Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, member of the Supreme Council, Ruler of Sharjah.
The festival is associated with theatrical performances that develop their aesthetics and influences in a dramatic confrontation between two characters on stage. It hosts five Arabic performances.
The sixth session of the festival will start next Friday at seven in the evening, with the Emirati show “It Happened Once” by Tipbah Al-Hisn Association for Culture, Heritage and Theatre, produced and directed by Muhannad Karim, and represented by Nabil. Al-Masmi and Sharif Umar.
On the second day, the audience witnessed the Syrian show “The Circus” presented by the National Theater Group, written by Asvaldo Dragon, produced and directed by Ayman Zidan, featuring Hazem Zidan and Lama Abdel Karim.
On the third day, the Egyptian show “The Window” is presented by Meshwar Theater Group, written by Arnyush Iridinsky, directed by Muhammad Morsi and created by actors Islam Abdel Shafi and Radwa Hassan.
On the fourth day, the Multaqah Al-Dilal Group from the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan performed the play “Natural View” by Harold Pinter, directed by Talal Al-Fayyad, Bakr Al-Jobi and Yasmin Al-Dalu. . On the last day, the Kuwaiti Theater Group will present the play “Al-Shafaf”, written by Fawzi Al-Gharib and directed by Ahmad Al-Salman, who will participate in its adaptation along with actress Sama.
These presentations are followed by critical seminars that study their artistic merits and intellectual orientations. Ibrahim Al-Khaoumi from the Emirates, Anwar Muhammad from Syria, Issam Abu Al-Ela from Egypt, Omar Naqrash from Jordan and Mashari Hamed from Kuwait are participating. Seminars.
The festival organizes three training workshops aimed at theater animators in Sharjah schools, which are the “Shadow Imagination” workshop under the supervision of the Palestinian Fairuz Nastas, the “Principles of Directing in School Theater” workshop, which is supervised by the Moroccan Sufyan Al. -Mosque, and the “Actor’s Voice” workshop, supervised by the Egyptian Rania Yahya.
The parallel program of the festival is full of many activities, especially the eighteenth edition of the Sharjah Forum for Arab Theatre, which is organized under the theme “Theatre and Music” with the participation of Arab researchers and theater practitioners. .

The festival management has invited a panel of theater faces, including five former participants of the “Sharjah Forum for Early Arab Theatre”, to follow the proceedings of the session, which ends on the evening of Tuesday, May 30. The best theater institutes and colleges in Arab countries are: Asala Qawaz from Tunisia, Elsa Tawalibi from Lebanon, Sufyan Al-Masudi from Morocco, Qada Abu Warda from Egypt and Mara Yassin from Jordan.
The Tipbah Al-Hisn Bilateral Theater Festival was established in 2016, within the framework of the Culture Department’s strategy, with the aim of spreading and diversifying theater activities in the UAE and building and strengthening bridges of communication and knowledge exchange between local playwrights and their brethren.
