Emirates News Agency – South Bin Saghr attends reception of 3rd Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation in Beijing

BEIJING, Oct 17/WAM/ His Highness Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, attended an official reception for His Excellency Xi Jinping, President of the People’s Republic of China, this evening. On October 17 and 18, his country will host the Third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation. This event is taking place with the participation of more than 130 countries and many international organizations.

During the meeting with His Excellency President Xi Jinping, the Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, Head of State Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed his greetings and his best wishes for the work of the Forum. To succeed in achieving its development and economic goals and promote international economic cooperation in the “Belt and Road” initiative, the friendship of the Republic of China and further progress and prosperity for its people.

His Excellency the Chinese President, Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, conveyed to the Head of State, “May God protect him”, and his best wishes for the continued prosperity and progress of the UAE.

He exchanged talks with the heads of state and government attending the reception on a number of common interests and topics, and discussed the cooperative relations between the UAE and their countries and ways to improve them in various fields. .

During the ceremony, the Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah was accompanied by Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and UAE Special Envoy for Climate Change.
