Dubai, 2nd September, 2018 (WAM) – As part of its strategy to promote the presence of Emirati women and showcase their talented role, the Mohammed bin Rashid Library organized a concert for Emirati opera singer Fatima Al Hashemi with a youth orchestra. in the community, and in conjunction with the Emirati Women’s Day celebration.
In the ceremony held at the library platform – Dr. Mohammed Salem Al Mazrouei, Board Member of Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Library Foundation, Jamal Al Shehi, Board Member and Dr. Paolo Petrocelli, Director of Dubai Opera, Emirates Writers and Authors Association, Ministry of Culture and Youth and Mohammed Foundation, along with several representatives of Bin Rashid to the country’s knowledge and cultural institutions.
Dr. Muhammad Bin Rashid Library today is an integrated cultural and entertainment center that integrates knowledge and cultural treasures, arts and entertainment. Mohammed Al Mazrouei said, “It seeks to provide a unique experience that reflects our vision and ambitions for the future of the public. In the next fifty years, libraries support the aspirations of intellectual leadership in building knowledge and culture that advances all fields, especially in the field of culture, emphasizing that arts and music events are the bridges that connect us to the creative world. And thought reflects the power of art to influence souls with a message that transports us to other worlds to enhance our values and expand our horizons.
The ceremony began operatically with the Emirati national anthem, followed by a welcome speech to the participants, while the ceremony program included a variety of old and modern songs.
The Mohammed bin Rashid Library is one of the leading institutions in promoting and empowering Emirati women in various fields, especially culture and knowledge. The program of events throughout the year includes workshops, seminars and lectures to emphasize the unique strategy and their position on women’s role in community building.
