Abu Dhabi, March 18 / WAM / Sheikh Mohammed bin Saeed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Commander of the Armed Forces, welcomes his sister Syrian Arab Republican leader Bashar al-Assad.
During the meeting, which took place at the Al-Shadi Palace, he welcomed the visit of the Syrian President and expressed his desire to come within the framework of a common interest in continuing consultative and fraternal co-operation on various issues between the two countries. This visit will be the beginning of good, peace and stability for Sister Syria and the entire region.

The fraternal relations, cooperation and co-ordination between the two countries contribute to achieving mutual benefits and ensuring security, stability and peace in the Arab region and the Middle East.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed a number of issues of common concern, emphasizing the need to safeguard Syria’s regional unity and the withdrawal of foreign forces, in addition to political and humanitarian support for Syria and its fellow people. For all the challenges it faces.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Saeed Al Nahyan stressed that Sister Syria is a fundamental pillar of Arab security and that the United Arab Emirates is keen to strengthen cooperation with it to achieve the aspirations of the fraternal Syrian people towards stability and development.
They also exchanged views on all regional and international issues and developments in the common interest.
The meeting was attended by National Security Adviser Sheikh Tahnun bin Saeed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs Sheikh Mansour bin Saeed Al Nahyan, and Minister of Foreign and International Cooperation Sheikh Abdullah bin Saeed Al Nahyan. And HE Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Deputy Secretary-General of the National Supreme Security Council.
