ABU DHABI, 2 November / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, President of the UAE Football Association and His Highness Sheikh Salman Ibrahim Al Khalifa, President of the Asian Football Confederation, discussed the reality and efforts of Asian football. Coordination and effective communication with all Member National Federations to advance the game in all administrative, technical and organizational areas of the Continental Federation and in competitions for clubs and national teams.
During a meeting today in Abu Dhabi, the AFC President renewed his congratulations on Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan taking over as president of the United Arab Emirates Football Association and called for strengthening communication and partnership. The United Arab Emirates Federation is considered one of the most important federations supporting continental federation projects.
Asian football’s great success at the level of tournaments, major world championships, and high-tech Asian championships has now garnered media and marketing attention and increased viewership.
The meeting was attended by the First Vice President of the Federation and the Chairman of the UAE Professional League, Abdullah Nasser Al-Junaibi, Abdul Mohsen Fahad Al-Dosari, and Muhammad Abdullah Hassam Al-Taheri, a member of the Board of Directors of the Football Association. Confederation Secretary General Datuk Windsor John, Asian Confederation Secretary General, Wahid Kurtani, Continental Confederation Assistant Secretary General for Administrative Affairs.
