ABU DHABI, 23rd May, 2020 (WAM) — Al Tahra Agricultural Group, one of the world’s largest feed suppliers, has announced the signing of an exclusive supply and distribution agreement with Estonian agricultural company Green Fields. Al Tahra Group and “Golden Fields” revealed details of their new strategic partnership, long-term supply agreement and the opportunities this agreement offers to farmers in the Baltic region.
The deal will give Al Tahra Group the exclusive possibility to purchase feedstuffs and products from Golden Fields through contract farming agreements in Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia and Finland. Al Tahra Group is committed to building feed processing facilities while providing the necessary technical expertise in the areas of supply, production and sales.
The deal will build a dry milling and processing facility for peas and beans, which will supply Al Tahra Group with cattle feed pellets and pellets, high protein feed pellets, vegetable protein products and fibres.
During the announcement, Arnaud van den Berg, CEO of Al Tahra Group, said: “This agreement with Golden Fields allows the purchase of feed inputs such as corn, grass, alfalfa, perennial grass groups and grass fodder at all farms in the Baltic region. , domestically. processed and then exported to meet customer demand across Northern Europe, Asia, North Africa and the Middle East.

Golden Fields, a partner of Al Tahra Group, has invested €10 million in a fiber processing facility in Juniskis, Lithuania, and €7 million in a similar factory in Lan County, Estonia. The company’s operations include two cooperatives; Lithuanian “Joniskio Arutas” and Estonian “Kevili”. Each year, these facilities can produce and process about 150,000 metric tons of feed for commercial use.
“We are cooperating with experienced farmers to produce high-quality fodder from Estonian and Lithuanian fields, and we intend to establish similar production lines in Finland, Western Estonia and Latvia with an additional capacity of 250,000 metric tons,” said Mahmoud Ahmed. Golden Fields.
