Yesterday, Emirates Airlines announced the enhancement of its services by adding two weekly flights between Dubai and Canadian Toronto, explaining that from April 20, the carrier will operate daily flights on this congested route to serve high passenger demand.
The company said in a statement that it operates its double-decker A380 aircraft on the Dubai-Toronto route, allowing 491 passengers to travel in economy, business and first class on each flight in each direction.
He pointed out that daily flights between Dubai and Toronto will provide more than 6,800 seats per week, increasing capacity by 40% between the two cities.
Emirates Airlines Chief Commercial Officer Adnan Qasim hailed the development as a very important move for the airline.
“We welcome the expansion of the Air Services Agreement between the UAE and Canada, which will boost the aviation and tourism sectors in both countries,” Qasim said in a statement.
He added, “We have been serving our customers between Dubai and Toronto since 2007 and although we have been operating the giant A380 on this route since 2009, the demand arising from tourism, business travelers, expatriate communities and students has exceeded the allocated capacity.”
Qasim continued, “This enhanced agreement undoubtedly marks a turning point in our strategy to better serve our customers, provide more options and flexibility, and meet demand across our growing network.”
