Billionaire Elon Musk, owner of site “X” who settled in Texas during the “Corona” pandemic, wants to establish a university in the state of Austin, according to recent tax returns for a charitable trust. Owned by a billionaire, it bears the name “Trust”.
Bloomberg News reports that the new company, which received a grant of about $100 million from Musk, will begin its operations by establishing an elementary and middle school in a STEM system focused on science, technology, engineering and math.
Once the work begins, the company “intends to eventually expand its operations to create a university of the highest caliber for education,” according to a tax exemption application filed with the Internal Revenue Service, obtained by Bloomberg.
According to the application submitted in October 2022, the university will hire “experienced faculty members” and offer “a traditional curriculum with applied learning experiences, including simulations, case studies, manufacturing/design projects and laboratories.” In the month of March.
The university will seek accreditation from the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
