As reported by “The Times of India” website, Musk said that artificial intelligence will be more intelligent than intelligent humans, saying, “Here we see the most destructive force in history. You can get a job if you want it. A job for personal satisfaction, but artificial intelligence will do everything.”
He predicts that there will be no jobs in the future because artificial intelligence will take them. “One of the challenges of the future is how we find meaning in life,” he said.
Musk told his fellow attendees that governments shouldn’t rush to introduce AI legislation, suggesting instead that companies using the technology are better at identifying problems and sharing their findings with lawmakers responsible for writing new laws.
The UK hosted the world’s first AI Security Summit. The two-day summit (November 1-2) brought together around 100 politicians, academics and technology executives to chart the way forward for technology that could change the way industries, communities and economies operate. Some create an independent organization to provide global oversight.
Microsoft-backed companies OpenAI, Anthropic, Google DeepMind, Microsoft, Meta and xAI attended sessions at the summit. European Commission President Ursula van der Leyen, US Vice President Kamala Harris and the UN. Leaders including Secretary General Antonio Guterres also attended the summit.
