Economy Minister: Investopia 2023 witnesses announcement of projects offering investment opportunities worth 370 million dirhams

Minister of Economy Abdullah bin Duq Al-Marri confirmed that the Investopia 2023 conference saw the announcement of strategic plans that will provide investment opportunities of around 370 million dirhams.

During the press conference at the end of the second day of activities of the Investopia 2023 conference, Bin Douq Al-Marri said that 14 projects and cooperation agreements were announced during this important international event.

He said that during the conference the Italian GKSD Group announced the launch of Smart Clinics projects (Smart Clinics) in the UAE and expanding them in the region. Opportunities in UAE and Gulf market.

He continued: “The conference saw collaboration in the field of environmental sustainability, which saw collaboration between Greenthesis and Salah Sharaf Investment Group, an Emirati-Italian collaboration, which will see the first factory for the recycling of lead batteries set up in the UAE. … In the fintech and financial services sector, MENA Fintech The association announced the establishment of councils in the region.

Minister of Economy Abdullah bin Duq Al-Marri noted that Investopia signed 6 new partnerships in addition to 4 memorandums of understanding, with more than 2,500 participants including decision-makers, investors, experts, academics and media experts gathered at the two-day conference. from all over the world. Among them, 1,000 participants have come from abroad to explore global opportunities for investment under the slogan “Imagine opportunities in times of change”.

Bin Douq Al-Marri said that the participants of the Investopia 2023 conference were from 40 countries and there were 35 sessions and round tables with more than 100 speakers, 75% of the summit participants. from the private sector.

The Minister of Economy, Abdullah Bin Duq Al-Mari, indicated that through the icons, 300 meetings were held, 60% of which were held with investment funds of more than one billion dollars.

About 55% of the meetings were held with hedge funds, and 45% with venture capital funds and private equity firms, he added, reflecting that while hedge funds made up only 40% of the number of investors, they received 55% of the meetings.
