During the work of the summit held in Barcelona, Spain, the World Public Transport Federation announced that Dubai, represented by the Roads and Transport Authority, won the World Public Transport Federation World Summit 2026. The World Public Transport Summit is the most important global event in the transport sector, as it brings together more than 1,900 members from 100 countries, as well as officials, legislators, developers, operators and manufacturers in the transport sector. Dubai’s success in hosting the summit was dedicated to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai. and Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Executive Council and First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, pointed out that Dubai’s success in hosting this global event is in line with its economy. Agenda (D33) aims to consolidate Dubai’s position among the top three economic cities in the world, cement its global leadership as a preferred destination for hosting international events, and secure the trust of international companies and institutions.
