Organizers have confirmed the date for the seventh edition of the Dubai Fitness Challenge 2023, a sporting initiative launched by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Governing Council. October 28 to November 26.
This year’s “Dubai Cycling Challenge” will be held on Sunday, November 12, while the Dubai Running Challenge will be launched on November 26, the closing day of the Dubai Fitness Challenge, according to a press release issued yesterday. The events will give families and those who love cycling and running races, and fitness in general, a unique experience by participating and competing in a fun atmosphere at some of the most prominent and popular landmarks on Sheikh Zayed Road.
A diverse and unusual program of events for this season and how to register and take part in the challenge will be announced in the coming weeks.
Notably, the “Dubai Fitness Challenge” encourages Dubai residents and visitors to adopt a more active lifestyle by practicing 30 minutes of activity daily for 30 days through a variety of unique sporting events and activities.
Since its inception in 2017, the Dubai Fitness Challenge has contributed to the development of sports infrastructure and facilities across the city, and encourages community members of all nationalities to adopt a healthy and active lifestyle.
Last year’s session reached 2.2 million participants as major events on Sheikh Zayed Road attracted around 35,000 cyclists in the “Dubai Cycling Challenge” and 193,000 runners in the “Dubai Running Challenge”.
