Do you need a permit or prior visa to enter the UAE?

Citizens of the Republic of India possess an ordinary passport valid for at least six months from the date of arrival, a visit visa or permanent resident card issued by the United States or a residence visa in the United Kingdom and valid for a period of not less than six months for European Union countries and an entry visa on arrival for a stay in the country for a period not exceeding 14 days. and they can apply to extend their stay for an additional 14 days. .

The lists of countries for which citizens are eligible for a visa on arrival may change from time to time, so please check with the UAE Embassy in your country before travelling.

If the traveler does not belong to one of the categories eligible for visa-free entry or a visa on arrival, he must be issued an entry permit, and you must obtain an entry permit from the Directorate General of Residency and Foreigners. Matters depend on the purpose of visiting the UAE.

And the entry permit is applied for through airlines and travel and tour agencies if it is for tourism purpose, through a relative or friend if it is for visitation and transit visa. In this case the work visa is issued by the employer to work for airlines operating in the UAE.

UAE law prohibits individual visitors and tourists from working in the country, with or without pay, while on a visitor or tourist visa, and violators are subject to fines and deportation. A tourist or visitor is subject to liability and fines.

As per the UAE Labor Law and residency laws in the country, one cannot work in the UAE except after issuing a work permit and/or work visa from the relevant authority.
