“De Siraj” .. “The Golden Stallion” at the Dubai International Arabian Horse Championship

Sheikh Hashar bin Makhtoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, Board Member and Chairman of Dubai Media Incorporated, was crowned under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. D Siraj” with the title of Golden Stallion in the 20th session of the Dubai International Arabian Horse Championship, whose competitions ended yesterday, held over three days by the Dubai World Trade Center, with a total prize money of Rs. Four million dollars, attracting 151 local and international horses.

“De Siraj,” owned by Dubai Arabian Horse Stud, defeated seven competing stallions in the main round to win the $275,000 prize.

Ajman Stud’s stallion “AJ Kafu” won the second place and won a cash prize of $165,000, while Sheikh Abdullah Bin Majid Al Qasimi’s stallion “AS Prince” won the third place and $60,000.

Dubai Arabian Horse Stud topped the competition after winning eight different medals: four gold, one silver and three bronze.

The Ajman athlete finished second with six medals, two gold, three silver and one bronze. Dr. Khanem Al-Hajri won one silver, Sheikh Abdullah bin Majid Al-Qasimi one bronze and Qatar Al-Wajba Stud won one silver. and Al-Shaqab Stud won bronze.

Sultan Khalifa Al Yahai, a member of the High Organizing Committee for the Dubai Horse Beauty Championship, said that some changes will be introduced in the competition structure from the next edition.

He told “Emirates Today”: “Change has become necessary in order to maintain the status of one of the most important competitions in the world, if not the best, and the priority and status of the Dubai Equestrian Championship.”

He added, “When we decided to enlist the help of impartial judges from various countries, the objective was to apply the highest standards of transparency in selecting the winners. The highest body organizing the championship is to apply the highest justice between all with complete impartiality, to ensure the level of interest of the team to the owners and stable owners, to be notified directly to the participating horses, announced to the participants and the public, and to the owners and stable owners.
