Among the foods that raise the level of cholesterol in the blood, fatty meats, sausages, pastries and cheese should not be avoided, but their amount should be determined.
Experts advise replacing saturated fats with unsaturated fats, for which nuts, olive oil, sesame oil, red fish, legumes and poultry should be included in the diet.
The second way to fight cholesterol is to use dietary fiber. “You should use whole, unrefined whole grains that are high in fiber, such as black bread, brown rice and brown pasta,” he says.
Experts recommend lowering blood cholesterol levels and eating foods rich in milk, yogurt and other organic sterols and stanols. This is because daily intake of these compounds can reduce your cholesterol level by 10 percent to 1.2 to 2.4 grams.
He added that the use of such foods is aimed at completing the effectiveness of the use of drugs in the fight against cholesterol.
