Following the presence of chicken during the coronation of the late Queen Elizabeth II in 1953, Britain’s King Charles III and his wife Camilla chose a stick of spinach, beans and tarragon to be served at their coronation dinner on May 6, Agence France-Presse reported. press on
Quiche is popular in France, but not common in the UK. The dish was discussed via Twitter on the official royal family account.
Charles and his wife hoped to “encourage” Britons to attend the grand coronation lunch on Saturday and Sunday, May 6 and 7.
The message was accompanied by a video showing the chef preparing the stick for the coronation ceremony. The recipe contains several ingredients, including spinach, beans, tarragon, milk, heavy cream, eggs, and cheddar cheese. And the royal family confirmed on Twitter that the dish “suits all tastes and can be eaten hot or cold with a vegetable salad and baked potato”.
During the coronation of Elizabeth II in 1953, a chicken dish with a creamy curry sauce was served, and it became one of the traditional dishes in British cuisine.
Charles and his wife Camilla will be crowned on May 6 at Westminster Abbey in front of around two thousand guests. This weekend, celebrations and music will take place at Windsor Castle in West London.
