Seoul, Dec. 25 (Yonhap) — South Korean girl group BLACKPINK will hold a virtual reality (VR) concert titled “BLACKPINK: A VR Encore” on the Meta Horizon platform on Dec. 26, YG Entertainment said Monday. .
The band's agency said the event was specially captured and produced for virtual reality at the finale of the group's “Born Pink” world tour at the “Guchiok Skydome” in Seoul.
During the event, the band will perform their famous songs like “How You Like That” and “Pink Venom” for 70 minutes.
The agency said the concert was filmed from a front-row seat so viewers could experience the liveliness from a first-person perspective, and described the concert as a unique opportunity to experience a Black Pink concert in virtual reality.
The band said: “We're excited to introduce our music to fans around the world in a new way. This concert is part of our world tour, which we've put a lot of effort into, so we hope our fans will enjoy it as well.”
The concert can also be seen in the US, Canada, UK, France, Iceland, Ireland and Spain. Can see again in a month.
Blackpink held the “Born Pink” world tour last year and this year. During the world tour, the band played 66 concerts in 34 cities around the world.
The band attracted an estimated 2,115,000 people, including 250,000 at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in the US and 65,000 at the Hyde Park Festival in Britain, where the band performed on the main stage.
