According to the Spanish newspaper “Marca”, on Friday, the European football association “UEFA” officially notified FC Barcelona to allow coach Xavi Hernandez’s team to participate in the Champions League for the 2023/2024 season.

He added that “UEFA” informed the management of Barcelona president Juan Laborda that the Negrira case has been transferred to the Ethics and Disciplinary Committee of the European Football Association to continue working and investigate it. He explained that Barcelona had been threatened with exclusion from next season’s Champions League because of the Negrera case, after Spanish media confirmed that the Catalan team’s previous management paid 1.4 million euros to a company owned by Jose Maria.
