Syrian artist Assem Sukar, the cartoon badge singer who was very popular in childhood, performed a concert on the closing day of the 42nd session of the Sharjah International Book Fair, where he presented a group of his songs loved by the nineties generation. Before starting his concert, artist Asim Sukar thanked the organizers of the Sharjah International Book Fair, saying, “The great audience of Sharjah, the great audience of Sharjah, always everything here is different and beautiful.” I thank Sharjah Book Authority for this generous opportunity to meet this huge audience. Over the course of an hour and a half, Sugar performed several “Spectoon” songs that the audience grew up with, such as “Dragon Ball,” “Thunder Roller,” “Before and After,” and “Gundam Wings.” “Remy,” “Detective Conan,” “Treasure Island,” and “Digital Heroes.” The uniqueness of the collection of songs he chose to share with the exhibition audience is that with its elegant lyrics and unique music, it is one of the songs that contributed the most to building the conscience and raising the aspirations of the children of yesteryear.
