Are you looking to choose a new Android phone.. Here are the most important tips

Date:

Shafaqna – If you are looking to choose a new Android phone, there are many Android devices available in the international and local markets, which makes it difficult to choose the best phone for you. Here are the most useful tips for buying a new Android phone:

1- Find Android phone with powerful app:

An app is fundamental in a smartphone as it is responsible for performing all the tasks on the phone like playing video games, taking photos, communicating and browsing the web. The more powerful the processor, the more workload your phone can handle. Without a powerful app, the functions you can perform on your phone are limited.

Choosing the right phone app for you depends on what you use your phone for, and you can determine the app’s performance using Android phone performance testing tools: AnTuTu and Geekbench. But phones with the same processor may give different scores on testing tools.

Any phone with AnTuTu test score between 300K and 500K is suitable for average users. As for those who use the phone for the purpose of games, they need a processor that gives a result of around 700k or more.

2- Choose a model with at least 6 GB of RAM:

The more RAM your phone has, the easier it will be to multitask on your phone. This is useful for keeping multiple applications running in the background without closing them.

The amount of RAM you can get in a phone varies widely. It ranges from 2 GB to 12 GB on some phones like the one available on the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra.

For an average user, 6GB of RAM will be more than enough. And with 6GB of RAM, the phone can easily multitask. You can chat with your friends, listen to audio clips and surf the web at the same time.

3- Choose a model with at least 128 GB internal storage capacity:

Most people use their phones to download videos, games, apps, documents, photos and audio clips. All these are stored in the internal storage space. As phone cameras continue to improve, the quality of photos and videos is increasing, and so is their size.

128GB of internal storage is enough for most people, but if you’re going to use it for a long time, it’s better to get a 256GB phone. Even better if the phone you want to buy has a MicroSD card slot.

4- Choose an Android phone with a screen with a 120Hz refresh rate:

Smartphone screen specifications are constantly improving, which is normal because the screen displays all the content on the phone, and unlike many other features: the flashlight or speakers, the smartphone screen is used most of the time.

Depending on your budget, the specifications of the new phone’s screen will vary, but look for a phone with at least the following specifications: 120Hz refresh rate, FHD resolution and AMOLED type.

5- Choose a phone with at least 5000 mAh battery capacity:

Look for an Android phone that has at least a 5,000 mAh battery and supports fast charging to help extend battery life. Also, if the phone supports reverse wireless charging to charge accessories like wireless earphones, it’s an added feature, but not required.

6- Choose an Android phone with an improved camera setup:

Most smartphones available in the market today have a good camera, but this one makes the difference. Some phones put more emphasis on colors, while others give photos a more realistic look.

Some phone’s camera is good in low light but takes poor videos, some phones can take great videos but lack some other features.

Smartphone manufacturers boast of having high megapixel sensors in their phone cameras, but this feature does not indicate the quality of the actual camera. There are other specifications that indicate the level of quality you get in photos and videos, such as:

  • Lens Aperture: Aperture controls the amount of light the lens lets in. The bigger the aperture, the wider the lens lets in more light. It is very useful for low light photography and getting natural effects in photos.
  • Sensor Size: The size of the sensor directly affects the resolution and size of the image. Not all smartphone manufacturers always specify the sensor size, but a larger sensor is always better.
