International actress Angelina Jolie joined the social networking site “Instagram” yesterday.
Angelina shared with her followers a picture of a letter sent by an Afghan woman in which she spoke of her fears after the “Taliban” took control of the country.
Angelina commented: “This is a message sent to me by a teenager in Afghanistan. People in Afghanistan are losing the ability to express themselves freely through social media. Around the world.”
It was decided to award a new Oscar to international star Angelina Jolie, but not because of her cinematic work, but because of her volunteer efforts and recognition of her humanitarian work over the years. Award presented.
It is noteworthy that the Taliban have tried to present a more moderate face since seizing power last week, but its history of abuse still lingers in the memories of thousands of Afghans.
