Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has left reporters to answer questions about the possibility of signing Paris Saint-Germain striker French international Kylian Mbeki before the end of the current transfer period.
The French sports newspaper L’Equipe reported on Thursday that Real Madrid had offered 180 180 million for Mbappe’s services after Paris Saint-Germain rejected an earlier offer of 160 160 million from the Spanish company.
Mabappe, 22, joined Paris Saint-Germain on loan from Monaco in early 2017, has the potential to move to Real Madrid for a long time, and he has one more year on his contract with Saint-Germain.
Speculation increased after Lionel Messi joined PSG from Barcelona earlier this month.
Ancelotti joked about the question about Mbappe during a press conference before facing Real Betis today: “This is a strange question I did not expect. To my players.
“I have a great team and we can compete with any team in the world,” he added. The Italian coach declined to comment on Mbabane’s price, saying he did not care about anything off the pitch.
He continued: I only talk to players about work and training, we don’t talk about what’s going on in the transfer market. Real Madrid play Beladis in the last game before the international break, after they had scored 4 points from two matches so far, beating Alves 4-1 and drawing 3-3 with Levante.
