Dubai Opera Studio Theater is gearing up to host a concert by international artist Laura Mikheil, Egyptian soprano and the first Arab woman to receive a Jameel Grant from the Andrea Bocelli Foundation, with orchestral and classical music by Amira Fouad, artistic director. Global Notes Concert Series, on November 11. Secondly, the festival will be organized by Anchor in collaboration with Royal Grammar School Guildford Dubai and Opera.
Classical music lovers will enjoy an evening created by Royal College of Music researcher and graduate Laura Michael. The concert program includes a group of classical tunes by some of the world’s most famous composers, such as Puccini, Rossini and Pizet.
A surprise of the festival will also be the presentation of a group of the most famous Arabic songs that revive the Arab artistic tradition by a group of the most important Arab artists such as Farid Al-Atrash and Muhammad Abdel-Wahhab.
Laura Mikhail plans to perform an ensemble of music from the Baroque era, including the most important pieces from romantic opera classics such as Handel’s “Theodora” and Puccini’s “Madame Butterfly.” and Bizet’s “Carmen”. Laura also embodies the versatility and versatility of her voice. Featuring songs by Argentinian composer Piazzolla, such as the most famous melodies from the play “Les Miserables” and the performance of “West Side Story.”
Although this is the first time artist Laura Mikheil has met a Dubai Opera audience, she has given distinguished performances in the Arab world with maestro Andrea Bocelli in his concert in Al Ullah, Saudi Arabia, and recently concluded her summer opera performances. ; She played Puccini’s Bianca.
Laura, who lives in London, discovered her passion for singing in her childhood when she was part of a church choir in Minya, Egypt, and later studied music at West Virginia Wesleyan College in the United States. She was chosen as a member of the acapella choir, which is credited with greatly influencing her vocal development.
