Abu Ubaida, a spokesman for the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), announced the release of two prisoners, Nurit Yitzhak and Yochved Lifshitz, with Egyptian and Qatari mediation. It had previously refused to receive them on humanitarian grounds after the Israeli occupation.
