After burning in Athens, the Olympic flame was handed over to the organizers of the Beijing 2022 Games

The Olympic flame for the Beijing 2022 Winter Games was lit on Monday at the birthplace of the Games in ancient Olympia, Greece.

During traditional ceremonies, actress Shanti Giorgio, dressed as an ancient Greek high priest, used a concave glass to focus the sun’s rays on the flame and illuminate the 2,500-year-old Hera temple. Deities in ancient Greek mythology.

Among the marble stands that witnessed the first modern Olympics in 1986, Hellenic Olympic Committee President and member of the International Olympic Committee Spyros Cabralos presented the Holy Flame to Yu Cai Qing, Vice President and Special Representative of the International Olympic Committee. The organizing committee for the Beijing 2022 Olympics is the vice-chairman of this committee and the vice-chairman of the Chinese Olympic team.
