ADNOC Gas is awarding contracts worth $1.3 billion to build a new pipeline to transport natural gas to the northern Emirates.

Yesterday, ADNOC Gas plc announced the award of contracts worth a total of $1.34 billion to build a new pipeline to transport natural gas to the Northern Emirates.

Petrofac Emirates, National Petroleum Construction Company Alliance and GATE International Company Limited have been awarded contracts to expand the natural gas pipeline network, the global company specializing in gas processing said.

Under the agreements, the new natural gas pipeline to be built under the Sales Gas Pipeline Network Development Program (ESTIDAMA) will increase the length of ADNOC’s existing pipeline network from 3,200 km to 3,500 km. Natural Gas Northern Emirates.

This strategic expansion will support ADNOC Gas’ growth and its continued efforts to provide stable gas supplies that support the UAE’s efforts to achieve gas self-sufficiency, increase its expansion in the market and reach new customers.

Ahmad Mohammed Al-Abri, CEO of ADNOC Gas, said, “The strategic expansion of the gas pipeline network contributes to the provision of reliable, competitive, sustainable, clean and low-cost energy supply to various regions of the country and the industrial sector. Stable and economic supplies of natural gas, which we will continue to support and enable.” The UAE can achieve self-sufficiency, which contributes to the development of ADNOC Gas and its related parties and stakeholders.

As part of ADNOC’s successful plan to promote local value, more than 70% of the contract value will be redirected to the local economy with the aim of improving its performance and supporting the growth and development of national industries.

The Sales Gas Pipeline Development Project (ESTIDAMA) has several packages. Following the delivery of the first package in 2021 and the successful completion of its initial pipeline replacements in 2023, the construction of new pipelines in the second and third packages now contracted and new gas at a Habshan. The new plant will feed gas into the network to provide continuous gas supply to meet the needs of key customers across the Emirates.

ADNOC’s flagship program for integrated gas aims to connect elements of the gas value chain in the UAE to ensure sustainable and economical supplies of natural gas to meet growing demand in local and global markets. The project involves using new approaches and technologies to extract gas from existing fields and develop untapped resources.
