In the second leg of the final round of the African qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, Egyptian Football Association president Kamal Alam expressed a big surprise over Egypt’s request to play Senegal again.

Kamal Allam told Egyptian Sports and Youth Radio: “We did not ask Senegal in our complaint to the International Federation to play the match again, but rather to qualify for the World Cup.”

He continued, “The harassment that the Egyptian national team experienced in Senegal continued not only during the match but also off the field.”

He added: “Someone broke into our apartment and tried to attack Mohamed Salah. We have video to prove it.”

He added, “During training, we saw some Senegalese players enter the training session, except to hit the team bus before entering the stadium.”

He added: “We did not book a hotel near the stadium. We were surprised the Senegal national team booked it.”

The Egyptian Football Association, after the Senegal match, complained to its international rival about the harassment of the Pharaohs’ work in Docker.
