4 films were selected for the Arab Critics’ Awards for European Films

The jury has finalized 24 European films nominated for the Arab Critics Awards for European films through the Digital Partner Festival Scope. The winning film will be announced at the 43rd Cairo International Film Festival (November 26 to December 5).

Final list of films nominated for Arab Critics’ Awards for European Films:
107 Mothers | Directed by: Peter Grex | Slovakia | The best screenplay at the Venice Film Festival in the Afak competition, and it will be screened at the Cairo Festival
I am your man | Directed by: Maria Schrader | Germany | Silver Bear Award for Best Performance at the Berlin International Film Festival
Lamb | Directed by: Vladimir Johansson | Iceland | Credibility Award at the Cannes Film Festival in the Uncertainty Record category
The most handsome guy in the world | Directed by: Christina Lindstrom and Christian Petrie | Sweden | Sundance Film Festival and Cairo International Film Festival

The Arab Critics Awards for European Films are aimed at promoting European cinema in the Arab world, drawing the attention of distributors and decision makers in the Arab film industry to eminent European films, and highlighting prominent Arab critics and their leading roles. The jury of this year’s Arab Critics Awards for European Films has 71 critics from 15 Arab countries for expressing different perspectives and exchanging cultural uniqueness between communities.
