Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – During the first wave of epidemics in the United Kingdom, a new study shows that it is nine times harder to learn from “Govt-19” than the entire population. The inequalities have deepened.

The researchers read data from more than 160,000 deaths recorded in the United Kingdom between March 2020 and June 2020, and found that deaths caused by “Govit-19” among those with food problems were five times higher than those recorded in the general population. “This is a significant increase,” Dr Jayati Das-Munchi, lead author of the Department of Social Psychology and Epidemiology at King’s College London, told CNN. The researchers analyzed anonymous data from medical records of patients in south London. They assessed mortality rates based on nine mental disorders and cognitive impairments and their race factors.

At this point, Das-Mansi found that all the ethnic groups represented in the group recorded an increase in the mortality rate.

The study pointed out that the mortality rate from dementia or people with learning disabilities for all reasons in the second half of 2020 was twice as high as in the second half of 2019.

He added that people with disorders, schizophrenia, personality disorders and other intellectual disabilities are “at higher risk of all causes leading to a higher mortality rate.”

As Das-Monzi points out, health experts have been aware of this problem for decades.

“There is an old obsession that people with mental disorders do not have the same quality care available to those with good physical health, and the epidemic has made it even worse,” he told CNN.

Mortality rates fell between July and September 2020, with the number of “govt-19” infections declining, prompting the UK to relax the measures of public locks imposed. Nevertheless, the mortality rate in this population was twice as high as in the general population, as before.

Das-Monsi, Two-thirds of deaths in people with mental disorders are caused by preventable health conditions such as diabetes, which can be better controlled. He also said that some of the cases mentioned as a result of Govt 19 infection were associated with adverse outcomes.

“This brings us back to the question of how we really need to think about how to improve access to health care that prevents us,” he said. He pointed out that it “ranges from routine screening for cancer to treating heart disease, helping to stop smoking, providing vaccinations, and encouraging people to take advantage of vaccine benefits.”
