More than half a year after American electronics giant Apple officially announced the “Vision Pro” glasses, markets are expecting the launch of this all-new product in the first two months of next year.
After rumors about these glasses, the American company revealed the glasses during its conference last June; It will be released early in the new year.
Ming Shi Guo, an expert on Apple news and products, believes the Vision Pro glasses will hit the market in late January or early February. He says that Apple will receive the first batch of glasses from manufacturers within a month, and that the first batch will consist of about 500,000 glasses.
According to Apple, a pair of glasses will cost $3,499.
At the same time, the exact number of initial production units Apple is targeting is still unknown. A month after the glasses were released (about 6 months ago), reports indicated that the company had reduced the target number to less than 400,000.
TechCrunch, a website specializing in technology topics, said that even the new number of 400,000 glasses is small compared to Apple's size and influence in the electronics market, with estimates that the company has sold more than 200 million iPhones this year.
Meanwhile, analysts see the Vision Pro as the biggest gamble of Apple CEO Tim Cook's 12-year reign.
Not only are these glasses completely new in their technology, they are expensive even for customers who are used to buying Apple products that cost more than similar products from other companies.
