The Head of State, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, may God protect him, met yesterday with the heads of several delegations participating in the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28). Held at Expo City in Dubai.

This came within the framework of His Highness’ intensive meetings with leaders and officials on the sidelines of the conference.

During his meeting – separately – the President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda, the Prime Minister of the Italian Republic, Giorgia Meloni, in addition to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Albania, Edi Rama, discussed their high-level bilateral relations. UAE and its allies, and ways to push them forward in various fields, especially development sectors, in addition to some regional and international issues of common interest.

The Head of State also reviewed with the guests the issues raised at (COP28) and the importance of joint work through the conference to produce practical and impactful results. Dangerous consequences of climate change around the world.

During these meetings, leaders and heads of delegations praised the efforts of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in his speech at the World Climate Action Summit, announcing the importance of establishing a $30 billion fund for global climate solutions. This initiative is reflected in bridging the funding gap, in the field of global climate action.
