The “World Congress” brings together the UAE’s media leadership

On Saturday, November 16, one of the biggest platforms bringing together the world’s media professionals in one place ended: the “World Media Congress” conference in its second session.

The conference is hosted by the United Arab Emirates capital Abu Dhabi, which begins the sixth decade of the federal government and prepares with many future initiatives to maintain its global humanitarian leadership.

The events of the conference are held under the patronage of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Office of the President of the UAE, highlighting the level of leadership interest in the UAE in this medium. His role was not limited to conveying news after becoming one of the instruments for settling wars.

The media in general has a higher humanitarian mission, which is to reveal the truth or is perceived as such. What we see these days in the media about the humanitarian crimes in Gaza, which have forced many of the world’s politicians to change their positions, confirms the importance of this method.

But other aspects of those interested in the media also have their own goals by using this important mechanism, and in many cases to “change” and distort the facts, the subject requires that interest, it can be seen. The Emirati is a visionary in building global humanitarian efforts through his sponsorship of the “World Media Congress” conference and its leadership.

Thus, what was said in the “second session” of the Congress can be described as a continuation of the discussions in the previous session on the importance of the media and its humanitarian role, and the interplay between the official and non-official media. . This has led to rapid advancement in communication technologies and social media as tools or media devices specific to each individual.

Therefore, it is natural to focus on promoting collaboration and exchange of knowledge and views among decision makers, thought leaders, experts and media professionals. Especially the new trends and modern developments that shape the future of world media and at the same time reflect the views and directions of policy makers and decision makers in countries and governments of the world.

Media is the mirror that reflects society’s problems. Local media – for example – reflect national issues, and media that transcend national borders are concerned with humanitarian issues, i.e. media: one of the most overlapping and influential sectors of human life. in its various aspects. Besides being a means of communication between people, it is an essential tool in knowing trends and ideas at all levels. All this is reason enough to pay attention to the media at the leadership level in the UAE.

The media sector is no less important than other sectors classified as national security issues, and its importance may appear stronger during political crises, as victories in wars are now recorded first by the media, as they manage information.

The media, in its traditional and modern forms, determines the behavior of the average person in the world, especially in our present time, which is closely connected to his life through many media, and therefore it is the first “influencer” in his thinking and his personal directions and decisions. This is why the UAE government is focusing on it. Through the diversity of annual media initiatives that have created the UAE, including the main sector “World Media Congress”, a destination and destination for media professionals from the region and the world to discuss its challenges and opportunities to serve humanity.
