“Dangerous development”… A Lebanese hospital was targeted and a wounded man fell

The Ministry of Health issued a statement: “The Ministry of Public Health in Lebanon expresses its condemnation and condemnation of the targeting of the Mes Al-Jabal Hospital in southern Lebanon, which resulted in the injury of a health worker and damage to the emergency. The department is in flagrant violation of all international laws and conventions.

“Targeting health facilities and their personnel is a serious violation of international humanitarian law and puts the lives of innocent and sick people at risk,” he stressed.

The Ministry of Public Health held that the Israeli authorities were fully responsible for this unjustified action, and that an artillery bomb targeting the hospital would have had catastrophic consequences.

He called on the international community, United Nations agencies and the International Committee of the Red Cross to “do their duty to ensure the safety of medical facilities and their workers and to ensure that such acts of aggression do not recur”.

The ministry called for a “comprehensive and fair investigation to hold those responsible for these crimes accountable,” stressing that “protecting public health and safety is one of the highest humanitarian obligations and must be above any political or military considerations.”

Meanwhile, the director of Mas Al-Jabal Hospital, Hussain Yassin, confirmed to LPCI that “the emergency department at Mas Al-Jabal Hospital was damaged by the Israeli bombardment, and an emergency doctor was slightly injured.”

The National Agency said, “An enemy artillery shell of 155 caliber fell unexploded in the courtyard of Maz al-Jabal Government Hospital, thanks to divine providence.”
