This evening, Tuesday, the annual ceremony of the Asian Football Confederation to distribute the best of the Yellow Continent for 2022 takes place in the Qatari capital Doha, returning for the first time in 4 years.
The 27th annual awards ceremony of the Asian Football Confederation will begin today at 7pm Cairo time at the Qatar National International Convention Center, where 17 awards will be presented, notably the Asian Player of the Year and the Women’s Player of the Year, as part of the celebration to honor outstanding players and coaches from national and regional member confederations..
A list of nominees for the Best Player Award is included Asia 2022: Saudi Salem Al-Dosari, Al-Hilal star, Qatari Al-Moyes Ali, Al-Tuhail striker, Australian Matthew Leckie, Melbourne City striker.
Al-Hilal star Al-Dosari will win the award and will be hoping to become the first Saudi player to win it since Nasser Al-Shamrani’s last crown in 2014.
The shortlist for the Best Asian Professional Player award outside Asia is as follows: Iranian Mehdi Daremi, Porto striker, Japanese Mitoma, Brighton Star and South Korean Kim Min-jae, Bayern Munich defender.
Graham Arnold (Australia), Hajime Moriasu (Japan) and Saad Al Shehri (Saudi Arabia) are among the best Asian coaches.
